Project goal:
To develop and implement a professional, empathetic and accessible service to women dealing with pregnancy loss as an integral part of the services provided at the Women's Health Center in the community, with multidisciplinary support for staff and patients.

Project description:
Pregnancy loss, whether during early or advanced stages of pregnancy, is a complex medical and psychological event, nevertheless, many women go through pregnancy loss without guidance, support, or recognition. The healthcare system currently lacks a structure to provide emotional and psychological support to women and their partners during these challenging moments, and many women "fall through the cracks" due to lack of coordination between the hospitals and health services in the community.
This project, operating at the Women's Health Center in Hadera (Clalit Health Services), is designed to change this reality and create a tailored, inclusive, and accessible therapeutic environment for women who have experienced loss. The response is based on a multidisciplinary team: nurses, doctors, and a social worker, and includes proactive support conversations, providing tailored medical information, referrals to mental health services, and more. In this way, the project helps with emotional rehabilitation, maintaining a sense of self-worth, and coping with the journey ahead - medically and personally.
The project is based on an ongoing organizational learning process with feedback conversations, data collection, and process evaluation, with the aim of enabling continuous improvement and broad implementation. This project serves as a model for other centers across the country, and the team is currently working to share their knowledge and experience with other teams in Clalit.
Our vision is to transform women's health centers into spaces where every woman can receive a sensitive, empathic and holistic service surrounding pregnancy loss.
